Pet Care

During the grooming process all care is taken to ensure the health of your pet is considered. Dial a Dog Wash Operators are not liable for any pre-existing conditions and problems found during grooming. Any advice given regarding health problems should be checked out by a vet.

De-matting

In the event of matted fur needing a clip down, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process. Due to matts sometimes being tight to the skin, the dogs skin may get caught because of the close proximity of working to the skin. The owner agrees that Dial a Dog Wash shall not be held liable for any after grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems 'uncovered' on a badly matted neglected coat. The owner agrees to pay all costs for the grooming of the dog including de-matting, whether or not the groomer is able to complete the job. Please Note:  guarantees will not apply, in the event of a grooming injury to any dog with a badly maintained coat, matting etc.

Aggressive Dogs

Dial a Dog Wash reserves the right to refuse to groom or micro-chip any pet for the safety of the Groomer and the dog. The owner agrees to inform Dial a Dog Wash, prior to their appointment , if the dog has bitten or has aggressive tendencies. The owner understands that they will be held liable for all bites caused by their dog.

Money Back Guarantee

The money back guarantee only applies to genuine complaints of which will be fully investigated by Dial a Dog Wash Newcastle. The initial complaint must be received by Dial a Dog Wash within 24 hours after the grooming of the pet in question. Guarantee of service and any refunds , will only be considered if a customers dog has been groomed professionally,  8 weeks prior to Dial a Dog wash calling . This is so that the dogs coat is in good condition and free from any knots or matts. Please Note:This guarantee will not apply to dogs with pre-existing illnesses or dogs with poorly maintained coats, matting, etc or dogs that are aggressive or badly behaved.

Show Cuts

Please be aware that all our groomers are professionals, that are trained to trim, cut and clip your dog to a basic pet clip standard, as that is what the vast majority of pet dog owners require. We stress that we do not clip any breed of dog to Show standard, as specialist clips can range widely from breed to breed.

Entering the van (disclaimer)

All customers are welcome to accompany their pets into the vans should they wish, but they do so entirely at their own risk. Dial a Dog wash or their employees accept absolutely no responsibilty for their safety whilst in the back of the van.

Cancellations

Missed appointments will incur a fee of 50% of the standard grooming charge. This also applies to cancellations with less than 24 hours notice given.
